Field(s) of activity for the internship

Topic of the internship: Improvement of collection and display of performance and effectiveness indicators

Your work will improve measurement and graphical representation of indicators collected from space mission operations and space element engineering. We address two families of indicators: performance indicators (on the behaviour of the operated systems), effectiveness indicators (on the execution of the processes carried out by the staff).

We have a tool (named STAR) developed by previous students which is querying records from a database and representing the statistical results in various charts. The tool needs improvement to:

  1. Expand the measurements of indicators;
  2. Verify the correctness of algorithms and adequacy to database records;
  3. Facilitate its usage;
  4. Update of used libraries when needed.

STAR is written in PHP (8.2.0), is built under the framekow Lavarel (10.2.0), interacts with Maria DB and is hosted in Docker.

By improving STAR you will learn about the processes implemented for space operations and all relevant statistics measuring the quality of systems and activities.
