Are you interested in political processes and would you like to help shape my daily work as a member of parliament? Do you keep an eye on things, can prioritize and lead even the seemingly small things to success? Then you have come to the right place!
We are looking for a committed individual who will support my parliamentary work with passion and vision. Become part of my team and apply as soon as possible in my Brussels office as an assistant or office manager (part-time).
As the internal and external contact person for all organizational and coordinating matters, the following tasks must be undertaken:
- Handling primary email and inbox as well as phone calls;
- Coordination of appointments of the Members of Parliament and the offices (Brussels/Hanover);
- Support in the organisation and implementation of events and technical discussions;
- Communication with the parliamentary administration (travel expense reports, missions, visitor groups, etc.);
- Support in answering citizens’ inquiries;
- Organization, preparation and follow-up of internal meetings.
Expected are:
- Competencies in the organization of work and decision-making processes and the coordination and prioritization of deadlines;
- sound judgement and good knowledge of work processes in political groups, parliaments or larger organisations;
- Willingness and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with unknown or more complex subject areas;
- Commitment, social skills, resilience, ability to work in a team, flexibility, reliability and loyalty;
- very good written and oral expression skills;
- appropriate training, studies or relevant professional experience.
The weekly working hours should be between a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 hours. Please let us know your salary expectations/the desired number of hours. Remuneration will then be in accordance with the salary regulations for parliamentary assistants. The regular place of work is Brussels, missions to Strasbourg are possible on a case-by-case basis.
