The CSIRO Indigenous Scholarship in STEM and Medicine is generously supported by CSIRO to provide financial support and encourage Indigenous students to pursue studies in the field of STEM and Medicine.


Scholarship Brief Details:


CSIRO Indigenous Scholarship in STEM and Medicine Eligibility

You must be one of the following:

  • An Australian citizen

You must meet the following criteria:

    • Commencing student intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree in STEMM (Engineering, Science, IT, FMNHS) at a Monash campus in Australia.
    • ATAR 85+ for Indigenous.
    • Are an Indigenous Australian

To be eligible you must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or a certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute. Benefits of CSIRO Indigenous Scholarship in STEM and Medicine

  • $10,000 per annum (48 credit points of study) for the duration of your degree.

Number offered

  • Two at any time.

Selection criteria

  • Awarded to the highest achieving commencing students.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 each semester.

  • The scholarship cannot be deferred.
