Brighton vs Everton LIVE – Ndiaye goal, score, Calvert-Lewin injury, highlights, reaction
Everton will be looking to build on the first win of David Moyes’ second reign at the club when they travel to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday in the Premier League. The Toffees beat Tottenham 3-2 in a thrilling match at Goodison Park last weekend to pick up the first victory since Moyes’ return.
The Blues looked energized with Moyes back in the dugout and led the match 3-0 in the second half and despite Spurs coming back into the game, they held on to secure a crucial victory.
The win moves Everton up to 16th on 20 points but they will face a Brighton side buoyant themselves after a 3-1 victory at Manchester United last weekend.
It means the Seagulls are now six matches unbeaten after a difficult December that saw them fail to win a game. Fabio Hurzeler, who joined Brighton in the summer, has impressed at times this season but will be hoping to kick on in the second half of the campaign. Everton will hope to put a stop to that.
Moyes will be without Dwight McNeil, however, after the Scot revealed that the winger could require surgery on an injury that has kept him out for six weeks so far. Captain Seamus Coleman is also sidelined but midfielder James Garner is nearing a return to action.
